Spendmark ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Spendmark mobile application (the "App").
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. If you sign in with Apple, we receive the information you choose to share through Apple Sign-In.
Expense Data: The App stores expense records you create, including amounts, categories, dates, notes, tags, and associated budget information. This data is stored locally on your device using SQLite.
Receipt Photos: If you use the receipt scanning feature (premium), photos of receipts are processed to extract expense details. Receipt images are sent to our AI processing service for analysis and are not permanently stored on our servers.
Cloud Sync Data: If you enable cloud sync, your expense data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore to allow access across devices.
Usage Data: We may collect anonymous usage analytics to improve the App, such as feature usage frequency and crash reports.
We use the following third-party services to operate the App:
Local Storage: By default, all expense data is stored locally on your device using SQLite. This data never leaves your device unless you enable cloud sync or use AI-powered features.
Cloud Storage: When cloud sync is enabled, your data is stored in Firebase Firestore, which uses encryption at rest and in transit. Data is stored in secure Google Cloud data centers.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.
Your local data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. Cloud-synced data is retained until you delete your account.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings screen within the App. Upon account deletion, we will remove all your data from our servers within 30 days.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
We only share data with the third-party services listed in Section 2, solely for the purposes of operating the App. We do not share your expense data with advertisers or data brokers.
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
